World Ham Festival “Popi” – City of Estepona 2025.
Hola friends and food lovers! It’s Kiwii Real Estate, your trusted guide to the beauty, lifestyle, and flavours of the Costa del Sol. Today, I’m inviting you to join me at one of the most deliciously irresistible events of the year – the World Ham Festival “Popi” – City of Estepona 2025.
This isn’t just a festival – it’s a celebration of Spanish culture, community, and culinary artistry… and trust me, once you’ve been, you’ll never forget it.
A True Iberian Experience
From 8th to 15th August, Estepona’s seafront promenade transforms into a gastronomic paradise. Imagine strolling along the Mediterranean, warm evening breeze on your skin, and the mouth-watering aroma of freshly sliced Iberian ham filling the air.
Over 65 exhibitors and 200 master ham carvers will be serving up plates of perfectly thin, melt-in-your-mouth jamón. And the best part? Each plate is just €5 – paired beautifully with local artisan cheeses, wines from Málaga, and crisp Andalusian beers.
It’s an indulgence you can enjoy every single night without breaking the bank.
Music Under the Stars
As the sun sets and the lights of Estepona sparkle, the Jamón Festival Music kicks off. Every evening from 11:30 pm, the festival stage comes alive with free live performances from big-name Spanish artists including Fernando Caro, Saray Jiménez, La Húngara, Seguridad Social, Gloria Bendita and more.
It’s the perfect combination – delicious food, fantastic music, and the lively buzz of summer nights by the sea.
Why You Won’t Want to Miss It
Local culture at its best – This is a deep dive into Andalusian tradition, a place where locals and visitors mingle, taste, and celebrate.
A buzzing atmosphere – With over half a million visitors expected, the energy is electric from the very first night.
A perfect day in Estepona – Picture this: house viewings in the morning, a dip in the Mediterranean in the afternoon, and then a plate of jamón and a glass of wine as live music drifts through the warm evening air.
Why Kiwii Loves the Costa del Sol
The Jamón Festival is just one of countless reasons I adore living and working here on the Costa del Sol. It’s not just about the food – it’s about the way life is celebrated in every season, every sunset, and every shared table. Here, traditions are alive, the community is warm, and there’s always something to look forward to. From golden beaches to vibrant festivals, this region offers a life full of flavour, colour, and connection – and that’s exactly why we love calling it home
